George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire may turn out to be eight books instead of seven(via @io9)

Talking to the Atlantic, George R.R. Martin admits that he may not be able to wrap up his massive A Song of Ice and Fire series in just two more books.

not surprising given that ADwD was supposed to be book #4, got split into two and was still 1300+ pages. I think Martin’s just dedicated himself to trolling the fandom for the last six years or so. Also, while trying to keep this spoiler free for ADwD: AGHHHHHH JON, AGHHHHH DANY, whyyyyy /settles in for four or five years for the next installment :|
